Questions parents ask
How much does a session cost?
Teachers set their own rate, mostly between UGX 18,000 and UGX 40,000 an hour depending on the level and their experience. A-Level sciences cost more than primary. If the teacher travels to your home there is a small travel fee on top, which the teacher keeps.
Does the teacher come to my home?
Most do, within the areas they list on their profile. You can also send your child to the teacher, or book an online session over WhatsApp or video if travel is difficult.
How do I know the teacher is genuine?
Every teacher has their national ID checked against their profile, their teaching qualification seen and recorded, and two referees contacted before they can take a single booking. Ratings only come from families who actually paid for a session.
How many sessions does my child need?
Most families start with two a week and increase in the final term before the exam. You book session by session, so you can change your mind at any point.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel free up to 12 hours before and the money returns to your Mobile Money. Inside 12 hours the teacher keeps half, since they have already turned down other work.
